Age 59 Place of Birth: Buffalo, New York Place of Passing: Batavia, New York Resided in: Akron, New YorkHistory: John graduated from High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In the early 1970’s John became an ordained minister in Buffalo and has officiated many marriages and funerals through the years. Later on in life, while still practicing his ministry, John worked as a Chef/Cook in the Beaver Brothers Café at Darien Lake. He was a member of the Elders Club of Buffalo and also volunteered with the Gilda’s Club WNY in Buffalo where he helped serve and cook many of their meals for fundraisers. In his pastime John loved to cook and especially enjoyed taking in rescued Dalmatian, his latest K-9 companion being Schooner.Family: John was the son of the late John and Eunice (Hake) Faulring, Sr. Surviving him are his brother Howard (Pat) Hake of Albuquerque, New Mexico, sister Kimberlee (Ronald) Bardeen of Mumford, New York; uncle to Caleb Bardeen and Gary Hake; nephew of Lorna Carrubba, Eleanor (late Gary) Hake both of Akron, New York and the late Hubert Hake, Garra Hake, Lois Keehn and Avis Stage.Viewing info: A graveside service will be held Saturday 26th at 11 AM in Mt. Olive Cemetery in South Newstead. No prior visitations.Burial: Mount Olive Cemetery, S. Newstead, New YorkMemorials: In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in John’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Diabetes Association.
